Mrs. Lateefat Hakeem-Bakare, Managing Partner
Lateefat has close to two (2) decades of experience in legal practice and is the head of the Firm’s Corporate-Commercial & Arbitration Group. Her professional specialisation is: corporate and commercial law; commercial arbitration, labour law; and regulatory and corporate governance matters.
She represents private and state clients on a broad range of commercial transactions related to real estate, labour, engineering and construction, amongst others and she has experience in negotiating with government authorities on behalf of clients. In providing legal advisory services for corporate bodies, she negotiates and reviews complex agreements and advises on intellectual property laws amongst others.
She has worked and sharpened her legal skills in a number of top tier law firms in Nigeria, including Ajumogobia & Okeke and Africa Law Practice.
She studied law at the University of Sheffied, United Kingdom and obtained her Master’s degree in law from Queen Mary, University of London, United Kingdom. She is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom.
