Her areas of specialization include property law; foreign investment, ADR, labour & employment; and regulatory compliance & corporate governance.

She represents private and state clients on a broad range of commercial transactions related to real estate & construction, labour & trade union disputes, Public Private Partnership concessions amongst others and she has experience in negotiating with government authorities on behalf of clients. In providing legal advisory services for corporate bodies, she negotiates and reviews complex agreements and advises on appropriate recourse.

She has worked and sharpened her legal skills in several top tier law firms in Nigeria, including Ajumogobia & Okeke and Africa Law Practice, where she led Due Diligence teams and acted for various government agencies and corporate organisations. She was also part of teams in M&A and IPO transactions, for both local and international companies.

She studied law at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom and obtained her master’s degree in commercial and corporate from Queen Mary, University of London, United Kingdom.

Lateefat is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom; and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria. She is also a Notary Public for Nigeria.
