Mrs. Lateefat Hakeem-Bakare, Managing Partner


Lateefat has close to two (2) decades of experience in legal practice and is the head of the Firm’s Corporate-Commercial & Arbitration Group. Her professional specialisation is: corporate and commercial law; commercial arbitration, labour law; and regulatory and corporate governance matters.


She represents private and state clients on a broad range of commercial transactions related to real estate, labour, engineering and construction, amongst others and she has experience in negotiating with government authorities on behalf of clients. In providing legal advisory services for corporate bodies, she negotiates and reviews complex agreements and advises on intellectual property laws amongst others.


She has worked and sharpened her legal skills in a number of top tier law firms in Nigeria, including Ajumogobia & Okeke and Africa Law Practice.


She studied law at the University of Sheffied, United Kingdom and obtained her Master’s degree in law from Queen Mary, University of London, United Kingdom. She is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom.

Mr. Akoh Sunday Ocheni, Partner


Akoh is a highly skilled and deeply analytical commercial dispute resolution practitioner with over a decade of experience in dispute resolution, including litigation matters. He has appeared in a varied number of litigation cases before all superior courts of record in Nigeria and is highly regarded for his attention to detail.


His litigation experience covers a vast array of commercial fields including: debt recovery, enforcement of foreign and local judgments, due diligence, labour law, energy and oil spills, product liability, commercial crime, asset forfeiture and fraud. He is renowned for his commercial negotiation experience; high level of legal drafting and oral communicant skills; and has received commendation for the quality of his research skills as an advocate in court.


Akoh’s clients include multinational oil companies and state governments, as well as companies in sectors such as Telecommunications, Energy, Insurance and Banking.


He has worked for a period of 10 years in two top tier Nigerian law firms in Nigeria (Ajumogobia & Okeke and Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie) and he heads the litigation and dispute resolution practice group of the firm.

Mrs. Busola Omojafor, Partner


Mrs. Omojafor heads the firm’s U.K office and has close to ten years’ experience in the maritime sector and shipping industry. Her professional specialisations are commercial and maritime law. She has years of experience in negotiating and drafting complex ship building contracts and service contract terms and conditions. She has successfully tendered for and secured various shipping accounts in the shipping industry.


She studied law at Cardiff University, in the United Kingdom and obtained her Master’s degree in maritime law from the same university.

Mr. Ayobami Eguntola, Associate


Mr. Eguntola is involved in the Litigation/Commercial Dispute Resolution and Corporate-Commercial Groups of the Firm. He has practical experience working in these practice groups, particularly commercial litigation where he has represented local and international clients in complex legal issues. He is diligent in his approach in rendering cost-efficient and effective solutions to client’s needs. He has worked at top commercial law firms in Nigeria, including Ajumogobia & Okeke, and is currently a student member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria.
